Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's recent engagement has been received with no hard feelings from Johnny Depp's ex girlfriend Vanessa Paradis. In fact, Vanessa Paradis is sporting a new look with a dramatic hair perm and reports say she's happy for Johnny Depp and Amber Heard getting engaged!

A source told Us Weekly that when Depp, 50, called Paradis, 41, that he had gotten engaged to Heard, 27, "Vanessa wished him happiness."

There was "no drama," the friend added.

Depp and Heard met on the set of "The Rum Diary" and began dating in June 2012, shortly after the "Mortdecai" actor's split from longtime girlfriend Paradis, 41.

Sources confirmed that the private couple was engaged when Heard was spotted in West Hollywood on Jan. 13 wearing a huge diamond ring on her ring finger.

"The proposal happened a couple of months ago," a friend of Heard's told Us Weekly. "She just hasn't been wearing the ring."

Luckily Paradis, who dated Depp for 14 years and is mother to their two children Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11, is "not bitter," a friend said.

"She's happy."

Paradis has moved on and is now dating French pop star Benjamin Biolay, 41. She is also changing up her look! Vanessa Paradis was spotted in Los Angeles with a hair perm: the French actress had cut off her long, blonde hair and dyed her shorter, curly perm a dark brown!

Ironically, Johnny Depp dyed his hair blonde in October, matching his young girlfriend's locks. Johnny shocked fans with his new blonde hairdo, which he debuted when he presented the BFI Fellowship Award to British actor Christopher Lee.
