Upcoming HTC Phones 2014: Octa-Core HTC Desire Leaked In China, Reportedly Packs 5" Display, 8MP Camera, 4 Color Options

After a slow start, the Taiwanese manufacturer is slowly unveiling its upcoming HTC phones for 2014. Now, an Android midrange handset appears in a Chinese tech website, and is rumored to launch soon. 

The new handset, which would probably bear the Desire branding, boasts some decent specs including an octa-core MediaTek CPU, 1.5GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel camera. 

According to the report by GSM Arena, the handset would run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, with a probable KitKat upgrade. There is also the newest version of Sense, 5.5 that will surely offer better experience and more fluid performance. 

However, what makes it interesting is the number of color versions it will have. In the report, there is a red, yellow, red and blue options, which greatly resemble the hue of the iPhone 5c, as well as some of Nokia's latest phones. 

There are not details yet regarding availability so stay tuned, but this Android-powered handset will surely grab the interest of budget buyers.
