World Cup 2014 News: FIFA World Cup To Feature Pitbull And JLO’s Song For Its Official Anthem, Radamel Falcao Injury May Hurt Colombia’s Chances

World Cup 2014 News: Colombia has been caught shaking their heads as they keep their eyes on key striker Radamel Falcao after injuring his ACL just last week during the French Cup. It will be a very tough year for Colombia as they are hoping to bag the trophy this year given a healthy lineup.

Doctor who checked up on Falcao believed that the striker might be fit just in time for the World Cup on June. But still, there are no certainties that the player can be 100 percent or not by then.

"It went well," Doctor Jose Carlos Noronha said. "The light at the end of the tunnel isn't small."

In other news, Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez were named to do the anthem of the 2014 FIFA World Cup with the song "We Are One (Ole Ola)". Together in the song, the two artists named were said to feature Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte, where they would perform the song in the opening of the football games in Arena de Sao Paulo on June 12.

"I'm sure, like me, millions of football and music fans all over the world will be eagerly awaiting the song's release," said Jerome Valcke, who is the General Secretary of FIFA.

This song is said to unify all the players from different parts of the world to avoid racism, which is usually a sensitive topic with relation to the football community.

In a statement by Pitbull on BBC, he said: "I truly believe that this great game and the power of music will help unify us, because we are best when we are one."

"I grew up in a house that loved football, so I am thrilled to be performing at the World Cup Opening Ceremonies with Pitbull and Claudia Leitte," said Jennifer Lopez.

"This is an amazing celebration of global unity, competition and the sport."

FIFA World Cup 2014, meanwhile, has recently been into controversy prior the World Cup draw because of racist issues.

The FIFA World Cup 2014 will take place in June 12 up to July 13 and will be held in Brazil. The last World Cup was held in South Africa in 2010 and the last anthem for that event was Shakira's "Waka Waka". This will be the second time for Brazil to host the event, the previous being in 1950.
