Upcoming LG Phones 2014: Optimus G Pro Successor Confirmed, Phablet's Rumored Specs Include 5.5" Display, Snapdragon 800 SoC, 16MP Shooter

In case you are looking to get a flagship device this year, then you may want to check out one of the upcoming LG phones this 2014. The G3 is certainly a promising release, though we may not see it until a few months later.

On the other hand, there is the LG G Pro 2 which is the successor of the Optimus G Pro. After weeks of speculation, a report confirms that the Android-powered handset will be announced some time in February.

While a specific release date was not mentioned, it might be during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. If that is so, then we may not be waiting for too long.

Meanwhile, details of the G Pro 2's specs are still confirmed, though rumor has it that it will boast flagship features. Some of the alleged features include up to 6 inches of screen estate with a 2K display, a Snapdragon 800 processor, a quad-core CPU, 3GB of RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Other expected specs include a camera with 16MP resolution or more, a huge battery to keep power up the huge display, the usual connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC, and probably a fingerprint scanner.

It is just a month before the MWC so let us just hope the new LG phablet will see the light of day by then.
