Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date For AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 Could Be Days Away As Test Build Leaks Online

AT&T subscribers and owners of the Galaxy S4 can rejoice now as a firmware test build was leaked online, which shows that the Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date for the said device and carrier is coming soon.

In a report by GSM Arena, the firmware test build was leaked at the XDA Developers forum, where it immediately received positive comments from members.

Samsung has been quick in offering the Kit Kat update for its current flagship. A couple of weeks ago, the international version of the Galaxy S4 arrived, bringing in a sum of improvements and tweaks.

We expect the update for the AT&T version to be similar.

Some of the changes include new status bar icons, faster TouchWiz, a more secure system, and better RAM management.

However, if you are thinking of getting the update, you may want to prepare some free space on your SD card, as well as a stable internet connection. The report says that the Android 4.4 Kit Kat update's size is 1.5GB.
