'The Conjuring' 2 – Which Real Haunting Will Appear In The Film? The Warrens List Amityville As ‘Their Most Evil Encounter

The files of Ed and Lorraine Warren are rich with horrific cases. Which one will "The Conjuring 2" take to the big screen? Is it Amityville, "the most evil encounter" they have had?

The Amityville Horror, as it is now called , inspired at least two movies: "The Amityville Horror" in 1979 and a remake/sequel in 2005. Lorraine Warren talked about the real-life encounters with the Lutz family with Movieweb.com: "

Q: You've said that this is the most evil you've ever encountered in one place?

LW: The house itself...The case, not the house, I should say...The case itself has affected our personal lives more than any other case we've ever worked on in fifty-four years of research. And that's a lot of places. My husband is a religious demonologist. My husband is not well. We've been involved in very bad hauntings, and very bad diabolical cases. We've been involved with levitations. And blood coming from someone's eyes. All sorts of bad things. But that case followed us right into our home.

Well, the very first night we came back from the house...First of all, Ed and I both came under attack the first time we went in the house. And that's very unusual. At that time, we were only involved in the research part of it. When we got home...I have to backtrack. Sorry. Prior to going in, the call came in about this case. When that call came in, I just had a very odd feeling. I wasn't comfortable. Why I was uncomfortable, I don't have an answer. Why would that case be different than any other case? Yet, I felt personally threatened by it. To the extent that I contacted the clergy and asked if they'd go in and spirit with me."

While that may sound like great material for a movie, the idea has been used twice and Blumhouse would rather take on untouched material.  Besides, there are more than enough in the Warrens' archive.

According to Ain't It Cool News, "The Conjuring 2" will tackle one of their lesser known cases about demon possessed sisters in England: "The case file they're looking at [occurs] in the late '70s and centers on two sisters in Enfield, England, who were allegedly possessed. Warren said she personally saw them levitate and even saw one of the sister dematerialize in front of her only to be found 20 minutes later stuffed into an oversized fuse box, contorted in such an unnatural way that they couldn't have replicated it if they tried. She also said that the demon spoke directly to her husband on many occasions. Warren cited this case as one of the most terrifying experiences of her career."

The case of the Enfield sisters stirs up some disturbing images based on that description. It makes "The Conjuring" sequel a must-see for horror fans everywhere.
