Cressida Bonas gave up on her dream of becoming a professional dancer because it would be inappropriate for the royal Prince Harry's girlfriend to have such a job, previous reports claimed. But now it's been discovered that Cressida Bonas has landed a £20,000 a year job in theatre marketing!

A source told The Sun: "Cressie was very upset to give up on dance performance. But she is fiercely independent and doesn't want anything through her connection to Harry.

"She said she knew that if she was ever given major roles she would always wonder whether she had earned it or whether it was given to her because of her status."

According to the Independent.ie, the source added: "She's such an honest, sweet girl and in many ways is like Diana. Harry is just smitten."

The 24-year-old Cressida follows in the footsteps of bestie Princess Eugenie, who recently got herself a full-time job at the online auction house Paddle8, based in New York, MyDaily.com reports. Princess Eugenie, however, will make £25,000 a year.

Prince Harry's girlfriend may need something to keep her mind off the tragedy that struck her family last week.

According to E! News, 76-year-old Christopher Shaw, who was married to Cressida Bonas' mother Lady Mary-Gaye Curzon from 1996 to 2000, was found dead when police responded to reports of "the sudden death of a man."

There appeared to be "no suspicious circumstances" surrounding Shaw's death, police told E! News in a statement.

Cressida Bonas' stepfather had been suffering from long-term health problems, including chronic kidney disease, and was told he had 18 months to live, UsMagazine.com reports.

The Sun reports that Shaw may have committed suicide with an overdose of pills. The coroner is still awaiting the results of the toxicology tests.
