Bryan Konietzko Unveils Legend Of Korra Book 3 Asami Drawings By Studio Mir As Fans Debate Whether Avatar And Korra Are Anime!

As fans patiently wait for "The Legend of Korra" Book 3 release date, some previews are being unveiled featuring Asami.

Recently on Tumblr, "The Legend of Korra" co-creator Bryan Konietzko unveiled two screenshot drawings of Asami making very fierce expressions.

"Some recent, great Asami drawings from Book 3 by Studio Mir," writes Konietzko.

As fans know, unlike Book 2, Book 3 will be done entirely by Studio Mir.

"We have seen the first four episodes of Take 1 animation from Studio Mir on Book 3. AWESOME STUFF! They continue to blow us away," continues Konietzko.

"The premiere date hasn't been pinned down, but we are on track to airing Book 3 with MUCH less of a wait than the unfortunate one there was before Book 2 aired. We are all incredibly excited for you all to see the new Book."

In addition, a recent video about "The Legend of Korra" and "Avatar: The Last Airbender" has fans debating whether the two Nickelodeon hit series are considered anime.

"The general consensus in the west is that anime is a product of Japanese culture, and TRUE anime can only come from Japan," says the description by PBS Idea Channel.

"But would it blow your mind that in Japan, ANYTHING animated is anime (including 'Family Guy')?! So what defines anime–visual and tonal style? Geographic borders? Is there a reason to keep the definition of anime limited?"
