Emma Stone gave a major spoiler about the upcoming "Amazing Spider-Man 2" movie, hinting that she and boyfriend Andrew Garfield won't be co-starring together for much longer.

"I think the intention the whole time has been to tell Gwen's story has closely to the comic as possible," Emma Stone told Ryan Seacrest yesterday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Emma Stone's comment has created quite a buzz around "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," and her character Gwen Stacy's fate.

We won't give everything away, but if you want to know how Gwen Stacy's storyline plays out in the comics, read this. In other words, it doesn't look like Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield will be co-starring as lovers in the "Amazing Spider-Man" franchise for much longer.

Stone also told Seacrest that "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" movie would see Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker "struggling with promises he's made in the last movie and the consequences of making those."

Considering the first movie ended with Peter promising Gwen's dying father that he'd keep her safe, this further hints that Gwen is doomed.

Emma and Andrew have been dating since they met on the "Amazing Spider-Man" set in 2011. The couple share an apartment in NYC.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" hits theaters May 2, 2014.
