Nokia Lumia 929 Verizon Release Date: Specs Of Rumored Handset Which Incl. 5-inch 1080P Display, Quad-Core Processor Accidentally Listed On Frys; Coming Feb. 5

Nokia Lumia 929 Verizon release date: Specs of the rumored Verizon-exclusive handset include a 5-inch 1080P display and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. A report say that it was accidentally posted on Fry’s electronics as the Lumia 928, WinBeta reports.

According to the Windows-focused website a dummy display of the unit was posted on Fry’s electronics store and an active Redditor spotted the device and took a picture of the unit. It was labeled as Nokia Lumia 928. There are rumored release dates for the unit with February 5 being the earliest and seemingly most prominent prediction.

WinBeta notes that the Nokia Lumia 929 has been making a number of surprise appearances. The unit is already up for sale in China and was briefly seen on the Verizon site a few weeks ago. Despite all these “accidental” leaks, however, neither Nokia nor Microsoft would claim the existence of the handset.

The images taken by Reddit user L064N shows the supposedly non-existent Nokia device attached to a security string on a Fry’s electronic store. The unit is expected to make an appearance on February 5 and other rumors suggest that it can show up at the upcoming Mobile World Congress.

According to Digital Trends, in a January 23, 2014 tweet by @evleaks indicates that the Lumia Icon maybe announced either February 5 or March 5, but doesn’t say which one is more likely. Speculations suggest that if in case the Nokia Lumia 929 is launched at the Mobile World Congress, showing that it will have an international variant, it may not be launched until after the show.
