Marvel will need to field a top movie on May 6, 2016. Signs are pointing to "Thor 3" to take the spot. New writers have been employed to spice up the sequel.

The showdown against 'Batman Vs Superman' will need Marvel to place some big guns of their own. They had to employ one of their Executive Producers to write full time.

The statement released from Marvel.com: "I am proud of Craig and have enjoyed working with him over these past years," said Kevin Feige, Producer of "Thor: The Dark World." "His creative instincts have helped shape 'Thor' and 'Thor: The Dark World' at every level of the filmmaking process. The entire team at Marvel is very happy to continue collaborating with Craig as he continues as a screenwriter working with Christopher on the forthcoming chapter of Thor's adventure."

Most recently, Kyle served as Executive Producer on "Thor: The Dark World," for which Yost also co-wrote the screenplay. The film, which opened November 8, 2013, has become Marvel Studios' third highest grossing film behind only "Marvel's The Avengers" and "Iron Man 3.""

While "Thor: The Dark World" lost out to "Man Of Steel" in the 2013 box office, Marvel can make "Thor 3" a promising movie. The 'Thor' storyline of Ragnarok was floated by Craig Kyle himself. Screenrant visited the set of TTDW and in the interview, Kyle talked about some interesting possibilities:

"So, should the end of all things ever come this would probably be the first thing to fall.  And we have a really tremendous scene in here with Thor and Odin."

Is talking about Ragnarok from the original Norse myth: "You're gonna see aliens from all over, uh, specifically, you know, it'll be a wait and see. Like I said we are moving further out into the nine realms of the universe, so, you know, you can't fly too far before you hit something else in the universe.  So we'll see."

In an epic saga like Ragnarok, Thor and Asgard will need some help. Will this be a showdown of superheroes helping to save mythical worlds-Thor's Asgard and Wonder Woman's Themyscira?
