Danielle Panabaker will appear in the first episode of the DC comic book television series "The Flash."

The CW's pilot "The Flash" starring Grant Gustin  cast "Necessary Roughness" alum Danielle Panabaker and "The Vampire Diaries" villain Rick Cosnett. Danielle Panabaker will play the role of Caitlin Snow, whom they describe as "a bioengineering expert who lost her fiance in a lab explosion." Caitlin Snow is also the secret identity of the DC villainess, Killer Frost.

The CW also announced last week that "Law & Order" veteran Jesse L. Martin signed on to "The Flash" pilot as Detective West.

Danielle Panabaker, 26, hails from Augusta, Georgia. Danielle Panabaker is best known to horror fans but will now move into the comic book universe. Danielle signed on to appear in the CW pilot "The Flash." Panabaker has been best known as a a "Scream Queen," appearing in such movies as "Friday the 13th" from 2009, "The Crazies," John Carpenter's film "The Ward" and "Piranha 3DD." Owing to Panabaker's topheavy attributes, that movie's tagline was "Twice the terror. Double the D's."

Danielle Panabaker comes to "The Flash" on CW with another name better known from the horror realm, "The Vampire Diaries". Rick Cosnett  and Danielle Panabaker are set to co-star opposite Grant Gustin and Jesse L. Martin in the CW pilot The Flash, which is based on the DC comic of the same name.

Danielle Panabaker will play Caitlin Snow, a bioengineering expert who's fiancé died in an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs.

"The Flash" will be produced by Warner Bros TV and Berlanti Production. The new show tells the story of Barry Allen who is also known as The Flash, who will be played by Grant Gustin. The Flash is really a Central City assistant police forensics investigator. Rick Cosnett will play Detective Eddie Thawne, who was recently transferred to the Central City Police Department. We don't know much about Thawne's past but he has a dark secret.

"The Flash" was supposed to be a backdoor pilot episode of Arrow. The pilot to "The Flash" will be directed by David Nutter.
