Nina Hagen cancelled a bunch of shows all over Europe. In early January Nina Hagen abandoned a show in Arnhem. Nina has been paying musical tribute to her old mate, Herman Brood. Brood and Nina Hagen changed the face of the European punk movement in the seventies. Nina Hagen is the godmother of punk. One of the most influencial musicians to ever come out of Europe and certainly the biggest rock name to come out of East Germany. Nina Hagen is a legend.

German singer Nina Hagen has been touring throughout Europe with Herman Brood's old band Wild Romance. Herman Brood and Nina Hagen were married for a short time.

A Nina Hagen concert in Arnhem show was canceled in the middle of December due to medical problems suffered by keyboardist Otto Cooymans. Nina had already canceled a show at the DRU Cultuurfabriek in Ulft.

The Arnhem concert was a sellout. Neither The Nina Hagen Band nor Nina with band Wild Romance have announced any new dates.

Herman Brood was a Dutch musician, a blues and rock and roll icon throughout Europe. Herman Brood committed suicide in 2001. Koos van Dijk who was manager of Herman Brood and his band Wild Romance, wanted to bring Brood's music to the back to the stage. All he needed was the perfect performer. Who better than Nina Hagen? Nina had a "wild romance" with Herman Brood in the seventies.

Dijk got a call "... out of the blue I got a phone call from Nina last year; she called to tell me she wanted to make something for Herman!" The show was worked on for a year. Romanza Brava, Wild Romance, is where they belong, performing Brood's music with Hagen out in front.

Nina Hagen's latest shows have been filled with the of songs by Herman Brood. The Nina Hagen Band is also covering Bertolt Brecht and Elvis Presley and a classic rock. Nina Hagen has been touring the world for over 40 years.

Nina Hagen's album "Personal Jesus" was released July 16, 2010. Her last album, so far, was Volksbeat, which dropped November 11, 2011.
