Of all the thousands of Android apps free for download from the Play Store, you may found a number of notable games to spend your free time with. But in case you haven't checked out some of the newer titles out there, you better do so.

One of the more exciting games to be released for Android last month is RoboCop. Developed by Glu Mobile, this action RPG shooter takes you to the events of both the original movie in the 90's, and the soon-to-be-released film re-make this year. 

If you have watched the original, you will know that Alex Murphy is the game's protagonist. He is a cop who was badly hurt in an encounter with crooks. OmniCorp then grabbed the opportunity to make him part man, part machine - creating the ultimate police officer. 

As the metal-clad RoboCop, you will take on thugs, gangs, and even advanced robots in order to bring peace in the city. Of course, you are equipped with unique and flashy weapons in order to take on the opposition much easier. 

RoboCop for Android is free to download, but knowing Glu Mobile it would probably use every opportunity to make you realize that pursuing the game would be much faster if you purchase in-game credits.
