Bruce Jenner sex change controversy has been making the headlines lately, following photos of him leaving the well-known Beverly Hills Surgical Center for an alleged "laryngeal shave" on January 19.

The gossip publication National Enquirer first broke the news claiming that Kris Jenner's estranged husband is considering getting into a surgery for a sex change.

The rumors sparked once more when he was spotted with a manicure nails, claiming that the former Olympian is actually on his way into becoming a woman.

Wha'te more bizarre is that Bruce apparently wanted to change his name as well to match his new image, a source of RadarOnline claims that he's looking into "Brigitte" taken from the Hollywood goddess Brigitte Bardot.

 "At first Bruce was intrigued with Bruscilla, but after he thought about it some more, he decided it didn't work for him," the source revealed. "He said, 'It doesn't roll off the tongue very well. Bruscilla sounds like some kind of disease."

"He loves 'Brigitte' not only because it's such a beautiful name, but it makes him think of Brigitte Bardot, who was a total bombshell," the source added.

Although, the former Olympian has denied such rumors, saying that his laryngeal shave procedure has nothing to do with sex change, insisting that he just didn't like its appearance.

"I just never liked my trachea," Bruce claims.

On that note, the famous celebrity Psychologist, Dr. Phil has weighed in on the issue as well, telling INSIDE EDITION'S Paul Boyd, "He looks to me to possibly be in transition."

"What does that mean?" Boyd asked.

"Is he wanting to transition from male to female," Dr. Phil answered.

Dr.Phil explained, "This is the guy, the best athlete in the world. Chiseled. Decathlon. To be making this kind of a transition, people are saying, 'Wow, what a contrast.' "

He continued saying, "If he's wanting to move in that direction, I have no problem with that if that's what he wants to do."

On January 22, Bruce Jenner's ex-wife Kris broke her silence regarding the Bruce Jenner sex change controversy during a talk with Entertainment Tonight saying,

"Ninety-nine percent of the stuff in the tabloids is made up," Kim Kardashian's momager told ET special correspondent Cheryl Woodcock. "I think when he gets his nails buffed they put clear [nail polish on him]. The bottom line is, we sell magazines."

Although the "Keeping Up with The Kardashians' matriarch did not specifically denies the rumors, it is a clear implication that such claims are not true.

In addition, the source who spoke with HollywoodLife.com added that:

"Bruce is a total dude, all he talks about are cars and motorcycles and sports. I've known him for more than five years and I've never, ever seen him do or say anything that would make me think he wants to be a woman."
