For the past couple of months, we have known a lot about the HTC One 2 M8 release date details and rumors, though nothing has been made official just yet. However, in a new report, it could be announced by the end of March.

According to a report by Android Authority, notorious leakster EV Leaks tweeted what appears to be a tentative but vague release date for the upcoming HTC flagship.

In case the announcement date of the HTC One 2 M8 would indeed fall in late March, it would not be all too surprising considering the urgency or releasing a device before another manufacturer launch theirs.

Previous reports have been claiming that Samsung, LG, and even Sony could be announcing devices by the end of February at the Mobile World Congress, which would certaily give them a head start as far as market share competition goes. 

As for HTC, a launch date close to those announcements would not hurt much compared to announcing the device weeks or months after. 

Another tweet by EV Leaks claims that the HTC One 2 (M8) looks strikingly similar to the M7, which is the current HTC One. Whether these details are accurate or not, we will eventually find out in the weeks to come.
