A New Maleficent movie trailer debuts at the Grammys 2014, where the it featured the performance of Lana Del Rey as she sing her version of the song "Once Upon a Dream," which is the title song for the film.

It has been reported earlier that Angelina Jolie personally handpicked the 27-year old singer to sing the film's title song.

"Angelina has been incredibly active in all aspects of the movie, even bagging a role for her daughter Vivienne, so it's no surprise that she helped choose who would sing the song," as reported by Britain's Mail on Sunday.

"Angelina and the film's producers think Lana is perfect to breathe new life into an old classic."

The official synopsis of the movie as posted by Disney:

"Maleficent" explores the untold story of Disney's most iconic villain from the classic "Sleeping Beauty" and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king's newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever."

Lana Del Rey's version of the song "Once Upon a Dream" is available for download on Google Play for a limited time online. You can download it through Google's online store until February 3. (sorry for the Apple users)

The movie starring Angelina Jolie as Maleficent with Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora together with Sharlto Copley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville will hit theaters nationwide on May 30.

 "Maleficent" is produced by Joe Roth and directed by Robert Stromberg, with Angelina Jolie, Don Hahn, Palak Patel, Matt Smith and Sarah Bradshaw serving as executive producers.
