Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill Double Down on The Wolf Of Wall Street Success; Will Reteam in Terrorist Film

Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill will reteam after their wild party of a ride in The Wolf of Wall Street. DiCaprio and Hill will next be seen in an Atlanta Olympics drama. Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio announced this duet in the wake of terrorist threats to the Sochi Olympics. Richard Jewell was the security guard who first called in the knapsack bomb at the 1996 summer Olympics.

Jewell had been working in Centennial Olympic Park during the Atlanta games. He found a backpack filled with pipe bombs. He alerted police immediately and  rushed in and helped clear bystanders. The bombs eventually did go off, killing one person. A cameraman who was filming it also died from a heart attack.

After the dust settled Jewell became a suspect and people thought he was involved in the terrorism plot. Jewell, sued, was exonerated and died in 2007 at the age of 44. Hill will play Jewell and DiCaprio will play the lawyer out to clear his name.

"The Wolf of Wall Street" was a huge success for both Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill and also established a screen chemistry. The pair will now make a movie on the the true story of security guard Richard Jewell. During the 1996 Atlanta Olympics he went from hero to suspect. The movie will be based on the Vanity Fair article "The Ballad of Richard Jewell." It will be released by 20th Century Fox. Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill will co-star.

The announcement is also timely, just before the Winter Olympics in Sochi. There will probably be some controversy when Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill reteam on an Olympic bombing movie. The new collaborations will be produced by DiCaprio with Jennifer Davisson Killoran through DiCaprio's Appian Way banner. Jonah Hill and Kevin Misher will also produce.

No writer or director have been named.
