Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date: Version 4.4.2 Already Rolling Out To Verizon Moto G Devices, Improves Performance And Security Features

At the start of the year, Verizon offered a deal that was hard to refuse as it sold the Moto G for only $100, which was $75 cheaper for the unlocked version.

Unfortunately, it did not have KitKat out of the box, so we were left wondering if the 8GB of internal memory without KitKat is still a good deal. One month later, Verizon has finally announced the Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date for the device, and version 4.4.2 is already rolling out to Moto G devices offered by Verizon.

The good thing about this is that the Moto G headed straight to the 4.4.2 update, which already brings a ton of enhancements from the initial Android 4.4 release last October.

Some of the changes KitKat brings to the table includes new notification icons, a much more efficient RAM management, and better performance overall.
