There are already a number of upcoming Sony phones for 2014 which have been announced in January, and several more would surely make their way to the market this month during the MWC event in Barcelona. 

However, this image of an alleged Sony phone could be the smartphone we have been waiting for. 

For the past years, we have seen the evolution of the smartphone from 4-inchers up to 6-inch displays. But time and again, the problem remains - manufacturers develop smartphones with bigger screens and even bigger frames. 

The two blurry photos above give us a view of what appears to be a Sony Xperia handset, though we're still not sure what it is. However, we can be sure that the bezels on both images are impressively thin - something we usually do not see in phablet-type phones these days. 

Coming from the Chinese Digi-Wo forum, the images reveal that the smartphone could become among the first with bezels this thin. 

We sure hope the alleged Sony Xperia handset will make its way to the market soon. And as the MWC approaches and the Xperia Z2 among the list of phones to be announced, let's all keep our fingers crossed that it would indeed be the phone that is shown here.
