Recently, some alleged news about the Pokemon Bank is causing panic amongst X and Y players.

As fans know, Pokemon Bank has been released in many major regions like Japan, Australia, and Europe. And while some are still waiting for a US release date, most are celebrating the fact that the service is finally unfurling upon us.

However, there have been claims online that certain users' Pokemon X and Y save files have been corrupted after using Pokemon Bank!

"Apparently Bank is corrupting some [X and Y] save files. Might be a good thing it's not out everywhere yet. Be careful if you download it," writes RocketClauncher on PokeJungle.

There is a lot of confusion surrounding this rumor, as some believe that places like 4Chan is purposefully spreading false news to induce panic.

Looking at social media portals, news related Pokemon Bank and corrupting save files is virtually nonexistent, so this is entirely possible.

However, only time will tell if more reports come in about this. If there is any validity to this glitch, it would be incredibly damaging for Game Freak, Nintendo, and their consumers.
