Budweiser Puppy Love Super Bowl Commercial 2014 Is A Great Hit; Cast Reveals How They Managed To Make The Animals Act

The Budweiser Puppy Love commercial stands out among the Super Bowl Commercials 2014 because of its unique portrayal of a puppy's determination to spend time with his desired Budweiser Clydesdale horse.

The one-minute Budweiser Puppy Love commercial was filmed in Southern California and since the main stars are animals, the cast and crew members encountered a challenging time in producing the famed ad.

Apart from the Anheuser-Busch Clydesdale horses, eight 10-week old puppies have been enlisted to create the Budweiser Puppy Love commercial. The horse trainers reportedly allotted three months to prepare the horses for the commercial. They needed to guarantee that the horses would be comfortable with working with pooches.

"There were all these puppies on the shoot, and we received special instructions on the call sheet that said: 'Don't pet the puppies! I could hardly stand it," said actor Don Jeanes to Los Angeles Times.

Canine trainers strictly prohibited the cast members from petting the puppies for they might lose their focus and disobey the producers' commands.

In the Jake Scott-directed Budweiser Puppy Love commercial, Deanes plays the role of a horse trainer who lives near the place where the puppies have been posted for adoption. Actress and Sports Illustrated model Melissa Keller is Deanes' puppy-raising neighbor. Deanes similarly starred in last year's Super Bowl commercial of the beverage brand.

Apart from its YouTube views, the Budweiser Puppy Love ad has officially nabbed USA Today's Ad Meter's top spot. It similarly got the highest number of votes on Hulu.
