Steve Nash Beard As Long As Lakers Losing Streak! Return Of Former MVP Still Can't Get A Win!

Steve Nash recently returned from his injury. While he appeared clean shaven at game time, he looked like a castaway a couple of days in practice. When did he last shave? Before the last Lakers win?

The last time the Los Angeles Lakers won a game was January 19 beating the Toronto Raptors for win number 16, to the score of 112-106.
Since then, the Lakers had a seven game losing streak, including Nash’s return game.

The beard became the subject of mild amusement among some sportswriters who were covering Steve Nash’s rehabilitation procedures.
The headline at USA Today’s For The Win read: “Steve Nash has aged 30 years since his last game with the Lakers.”
The report asserted the headline, of course: “Now, almost three months later, Nash is expected to return to the Lakers’ lineup tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves. When he spoke to reporters Tuesday morning, he looked like he hadn’t seen the sun in three decades, let alone three months.”
They also asked whether he intends to sport the beard in his return game. His answer: ”I forgot I had it.”
Some twitter hilarity ensues, and some comparisons to Chuck Norris were all over the social media.

Nash has lost the beard, but the Lakers did not shake off their losses, or their hard luck at injuries. In the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, guard Jodie Meeks and forward Jordan Hill fell to injuries, just when the two Steves (Nash and Blake) were about to boost the lineup.
From ESPN, Steve Nash at the press conference after the loss to Minnesota: “I feel a bit selfish in that we lost but it felt great just to play in the NBA again. Obviously the game didn't go as we hoped, but for me personally that's pretty cool to be back out there."
Coach D’Antoni will take what he can get: "I thought he competed, and we've got to have everybody compete that way."
