Tayshaun Prince and Marc Gasol were a combined 2 for 12 in the first half, while Zach Randolph finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds but went 6 of 15 from the field.
"We didn't play the basketball that we normally play," said Randolph, who had averaged 22.5 points in his previous four games. "We made bad decisions at important times of the game. There were a lot of turnovers, including myself, but you've got to be smart. And we've got to hit shots."
Shawn Marion missed a second straight game with lingering rib and shoulder injuries. He also missed four games in early January, though Dallas was 3-1 in that stretch. They are 2-0 without him right now.
"Right now, with Marion out, we are scrambling around with different lineups and there is a lot of different-looking stuff out there," coach Rick Carlisle told the team's official website. "It's all about finding a way to make it work, and our guys did tonight."
