"Bates Motel" season 1 ended with the murder of Miss Watson and the specter of her death will dominate the premiere of season 2 this coming March. But there's another shocker in White Pines Bay before the hour-long show ends.

According to TVLine, "by the end of the hour, a new homicide will take center stage" which will throw the small town of White Pines Bay out of loop.

"Bates Motel' season 2 premiere will also answer the identity of Miss Watson's killer-whether or not it's Norman Bates (Freddie Highmore)-will be unraveled, TVLine added.

According to the official synopsis of "Bates Motel" season 2, episode 1: aside from Norman Bates fixating on the death of Miss Watson, Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) is obsessed about keeping the motel alive when the plans for a bypass move ahed of schedule. Bradley (Nicola Peltz), meanwhile, "is driven to extremes as she searches for her father's killer," said SpoilerTV.

Meanwhile, SpoilerTV published "Bates Motel" season 2 promotional photos featuring Vera Farmiga as Norma Louise Bates, Freddie Highmore as Norman Bates , Max Thieriot as Dylan Massett, Olivia Cooke as Emma Decody, and Nestor Carbonell as Sheriff Alex Romero. The characters were swathe in blue light adding to the creepiness factor.

Curiously, Nicola Peltz as Bradley Martin wasn't included in the promotional photos of "Bates Motel" season 2 which prompted several fans to wonder if she's going to be killed in the premier episode.

The second season of the "Bates Motel" is coming on A&E on March 3.

Series creator Carlton Cuse earlier told E! Weekly that there are so many Easter eggs for season 2 of "Bates Motel."

"It's a fun spin on the show. The show is sunny, it's summer. All external appearances are bright and cheery. We enjoy exploring our town and characters. There's real twists and turns that come at the end of the season. I feel like the show is really hitting its stride," he said.
