Upcoming Sony Phones 2014: The Xperia Compact Is A Pocket-Friendly Z1 In Disguise

Announced during CES in Las Vegas, the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact certainly made headlines as the miniature Z1 flagship finally hits the US.

Measuring just 4.3-inches with a slightly lower 720p display, the Compact may not have the same screen specs as its bigger siblings, but aside from that they are identical.

A lot of people were talking about the Xperia Z1's design and power when it was launched at the IFA event in Berlin in September last year, but a number of them also complained about the phone's sheer size.

Maybe that's one of the reasons why Sony released a smaller edition but having similar specs.

The Xperia Z1f was first launched in Japan later last year, and we did not see the smaller Xperia Z1 (referred to as Z1 mini then) to hit the US.

However, as it turns out the US will get two variants of the smartphone - the Z1 Compact and the Z1s which is a T-Mobile exclusive.

Do you want to get the Z1 Compact or wait for upcoming Android phones at the MWC event in Barcelona?
