Upcoming Nokia Phones 2014: The Normandy Might Disappoint Photography Fans As Benchmark Reveals 3MP Fixed-Focus Camera, No KitKat Out Of The Box

For the past few months, one of the upcoming Nokia phones for 2014 that has been grabbing the spotlight is the Android-powered Normandy. But while previous rumors of its specs were respectable, a new leak reveals disappointing features.

According to team Sofica, the camera experts who are behind the CameraSpeed benchmark, noticed the dual-SIM version of the Nokia RM-980 also known as Nokia X, or Normandy.

However, what was expected as a 5MP camera turned out to be a 3MP fixed focus shooter. In addition, another key spec was also disappointing as the Nokia X reportedly runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box - certainly an outdated version by today's standards.

Considering this might be Nokia's first and last Android device, getting only a 3MP fixed-focus camera and Android Jelly Bean would certainly not turn heads. In fact, the handset might eventually lose steam in terms of hype if these specs are confirmed.

In an alleged retailer product listing of the Nokia X, the Android-powered handset supposedly boasts a 4-inch WVGA screen, a 5MP camera, dual-core CPU, and Android 4.4 KitKat.

We may all be able to forgive the midrange specs, but if Normandy's features would be a tad lower than these, then even its most loyal fans would surely get disappointed.
