Wolfenstein: The New Order’ Release Date Set For May 20; Gamers Pre-Ordering The Bethesda Title Gets Access To Beta Version Of ‘Doom 4’ [TRAILER]

Bethesda has finally announced the "Wolfenstein: The New Order" release date.

According to a post on GameSpot, "Wolfenstein: The New Order release date" is set for May 20 in North America. Furthermore, the European launch will follow three days after, as Bethesda also confirmed that Wolfenstein: The New Order release date in the region is on May 23. Australian release of "Wolfenstein: The New Order" is scheduled on May 22.

The post mentioned that "Wolfenstein: The New Order" release date was previously expected to happen at some point around fall 2014. However, it was delayed last summer as it "needed more polish."

In addition to announcing the official "Wolfenstein: The New Order" release date, Bethesda also announced that the game will be available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC.

The gameplay for Wolfenstein: The New Order, as described on Coming Soon website, reads:

Wolfenstein: The New Order sees players once again taking on the role of Captain B.J. Blazkowicz only this time he'll be taking on his enemy in a new setting, the 1960s. Set in an alternate history where the Nazi army has taken over the entire world, players will infiltrate Nazi strongholds to recover the "super weapons" they've used to conquer the world and hopefully rewrite history once again.

As for more interesting announcement from Bethesda, the game company also revealed that those who will pre-order "Wolfenstein: The New Order" will be entitled to an automatic access to the beta version of the upcoming "Doom 4."

Explaining how to get the beta key for Doom 4, a post on the official website of Wolfenstein reads, "An insert will be included inside your boxed copy of Wolfenstein: The New Order. This insert will include a key code along with code redemption instructions. Once the key code is redeemed, you'll be registered to participate in the DOOM beta once it begins."
