GTA 5 PC Release Date Finale? Take-Two Announces They Have No Plans To Release Yearly Edition

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said his company has no plans to release a yearly edition of Grand Theft Auto series games, Examiner.com reports.

It is great that consumers anticipate our titles, like they anticipate the next James Bond film. Our goal is to create permanent franchises," he said, according to the site.

"With GTA V, we have sold 32.5m units in to date, which is extraordinary. 70 per cent of people that have played GTA V while online have played GTA Online, which is a free-to-play experience. And recurrent consumer spending related to GTA Online represented nearly half of our digitally delivered revenue in the quarter. So people are voting that they want to stay engaged and they are voting with their wallets."

Amazon revealed that Grand Theft Auto 5's PC version will not be compatible for Windows 8, Monitoring Crunch reports.

The retail site posted the PC version of GTA 5 to be for PCs up to Windows 7 only.

Czech game retailer Super Gamer has listed Grand Theft Auto 5 PC's release date as June 13, the International Business Times reports, just one day after the E3 2014 conference ends.

The convention, which will run from June 10 through June 12 in Los Angeles, is rumored as the expected release date venue.

Take-Two Interactive chief executive officer Strauss Zelnick confirmed that his company will "absolutely" release GTA 5's PC version and on next-generation consoles if the consumer demand is deemed sufficient, Examiner.com reports.

"If that is where consumers are, absolutely [we'll release our gameDescription: escription: https://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/icon1.png on that]. But we wouldn't drive them there, we would just be there if they are there," he said, according to the site.

"That is why we have a companion app for our basketball title, NBA 2K Everywhere. It is wherever consumers want to be. We are not in the hardware business, we don't have any dog in that hut, we just want to be where the consumer is."

Grand Theft Auto 5's PC release date version may support the ability to legally modify the game, Examiner.com also reports.

Ahsan Rasheed made brief comments regarding the game's computer version release.
