Harry Styles BRIT Awards Speech A Sign That He Wants To Go Solo Already? 1D Crooner Nearly Ditched Band Mates Onstage In Exchange Of Toilet Break

The 34th BRIT Awards is unquestionably star-studded with attendees such as Beyonce, Katy Perry, Prince, and One Direction. Last February 19, the British boy band nabbed some of the most coveted awards in the prestigious musical event - the Global Success award and British Video of the Year for their hit single 'Best Song Ever'. However, Harry Styles' BRIT awards speech proved to be more famous than their awards.

When Rosie Huntington-Whiteley presented the award, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson immediately went on stage. "Has anyone seen a curly headed lad?" Payne asked. Harry Styles' BRIT awards speech explained the reason for the temporary absence.

"I'm really sorry. I was having a wee. The toilets are ages away. Um, what did we win?" Styles explained after running towards the stage and immediately grabbing the microphone to apologize. BRIT Awards 2014 host James Corden later joked, "Having a wee? Yeah, right. He couldn't even wait until the end of the show. What is he like?"

Is this a sign for Styles' aspiration to go solo?

The 20-year-old pop star reportedly wants One Direction to incorporate rock into the band's next album. However, the rest of the band members want to stick with their "winning formula" - pop.

"The fear is that if Harry doesn't get his way he could end up walking out and going solo. He doesn't want to be five years down the line and still doing boyish pop tunes," previously claimed The Daily Star's source.
