Katy Perry, 29, attended the Elle Style Awards on Tuesday evening and rocked a diamond ring on her left hand.

Rumors are surfacing that Katy Perry and John Mayer got engaged over the Valentine's Day weekend, with many speculating that Mayer, 36, proposed to Perry when the singers were spotted leaving the Sunset Tower Hotel in L.A. on Friday, Feb. 14, Us Weekly reports.

But this isn't the first time Katy Perry has sparked engagement rumors with her jewelry placement choices. The pop singer also caused a commotion when she stepped out wearing a ring on her left hand while attending the MTV EMAs in Amsterdam last November, the publication notes. After their Valentine's Day date on Friday, Katy was also spotted wearing a big red ring on her left hand.

While neither Perry nor Mayer have commented on the matter, the couple of nearly two years reportedly have a wedding in their sights for the near future.

"Everyone knows it's just a question of when John will propose," a source previously told Us. "[They] realize they must be together."

According to The Daily Mail, this time around, Katy - who picked up Elle's Woman Of The Year award - made no effort to conceal the diamond ring at the event. She put her hand on her left hip and up to her chest to show the rock off, and "at one point she dangled the gem just in front of a photographer as she held onto a glass of a champagne," The Daily Mail reports.
