Claudia says "He asked if he could hire me for a dinner for a million pounds. I declined - and some other supermodel took it."

The German supermodel is married to the director of "Kick-Ass," Matthew Vaughn. Claudia is the mother of three. Schiffer has a son Caspar, 12, and two daughters - Clementine, nine and Cosima, three.

Claudia said how the encounter was one of the most bizarre of her career. She told the Daily Mail, "I just want to be able to walk down the street and be proud of what I do."

The 43-year-old German beauty also feels uncomfortable with the term "supermodel", like her contemporary catwalk queens like Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Elle Macpherson.

Claudia said "When they started talking about 'super' and 'supermodel', I thought, 'This is really insulting. I want to be taken seriously in the high-end fashion world, I don't want to be some supermodel."
