The "MLB 14: The Show" PS4 release date has finally been announced.

According to Polygon, the baseball game, "MLB 14: The Show" PS4 release date is scheduled for May 6, citing the announcement from the game developer Sony San Diego.

Apparently, the MLB 14: The Show PS4 release date will happen more than a month after the video game's launch for older Sony game consoles. Reportedly, "MLB 14: The Show" PS3 and PS Vita release date will happen on April 1.

The upcoming baseball video game, as described on Joystiq, "marks an introduction in career mode transfer options for the series, as players will be able to bring their created athlete and franchise data to future iterations of MLB: The Show."

It will also feature "an online franchise mode with draft, free agency, trading and scouting systems and community-created challenges."

According to a post on Examiner, the development team is targeting to make MLB 14: The Show PS4 run at 1080p and 60 frames per second.

For those who are interested to pre-order MLB 14: The Show for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, the game is available at GameStop USA and EB Games Canada. They also offer "$19.99 in in-game currency as a free bonus," as posted on PlayStation LifeStyle. Moreover, the PlayStation Store is also offering "MLB 14: The Show" for pre-order but no bonus is provided.
