HTC One 2 M8 release date: We have heard and read a lot about the upcoming HTC flagship over the past few months, and tomorrow we will finally see if the device is worth all the hype it has produced. 

But even before the high-end Android phone gets announced, it has already been through a number of benchmarks, including a number of them from Basemark's group benchmarks. 

In the different tests it has undergone, the All New One emerged as the top smartphone in the world in both the Basemark X, and the Basemark OS II. 

But what do they mean?

Basemark X is a benchmarking app that aims to gauge the device's actual everyday use performance, and for that matter, the All New One outduelled Nokia's Lumia 1520 for top honors. 

Meanwhile, Basemark OS II is for extreme gaming performance, and as the top smartphone on the list, the new HTC flagship could be considered the best gaming smartphone when it gets launched tomorrow.

Unfortunately, it isn't all good news for HTC as the All New One did not do well in web browsing and overall user interface benchmarks. 

Still, getting two top honors is not an easy feat.
