Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date: Version 4.4.2 Will Hit AT&T's HTC One Mini This Week, Brings Sense 5.5, Ability To Edit And Disable BlinkFeed, Improved Overall Performance

Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date: A few months before the first birthday of HTC's One mini, the capable Android phone would be getting Kitkat version 4.4.2.

According to a report by Android Police, Mo Versi, one of HTC's executives in the US market, tweeted that they have already received the 4.4.2 update for the One mini for AT&T.

Furthermore, he mentions that One mini owners should expect the update to arrive by the end of the week.

This is certainly great news for those who have been waiting for the update. But what does HTC have to offer to users who are making the shift from Jelly Bean to Kitkat?

In another report, version 4.4.2 would bring a few enhancements, including changes in the way BlinkFeed is managed on the device's homescreen. For people who want to modify its contents or turn it off completely, the new update will enable them to do so.

There are also a number of new tweaks and features such as sidebars, new notification icons, Android immersive mode, and others.

Tell us in the comments section below what you think of the update.
