iPhone 5s: Sales Of Current Apple Flagship Has Reached 500 Million, Could Even Notch 600M By The End Of The Year

iPhone 5s sales: Launched in September of last year, a lot of bloggers and analysts were a bit disappointed that Apple has only included a few minor improvements to its flagship device. However, in the back of our minds, we knew Apple would do this, as to previous 'S' versions.

However, we did not imagine the iPhone 5s, as well as the 5c, to sell similar to previous generations of the iPhone.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Apple flagship device has just sold its 500 millionth unit a few days ago, and the number certainly hasn't stopped since then.

It is funny to think that an analyst over five years ago told investors that the iPhone would have a difficult time reaching 10 million units sold. Well, that year, Steve Jobs's brainchild managed to squeek past by getting 12 million.

However, the next couple of years, the iPhone became a force to reckon with, selling millions of phones in just weeks. And in 2011, it was just a matter of time until it finally sold its 100 millionth unit.

Separate reports by PhoneArena and GSM Arena said that analysts are expecting the Cupertino company to notch the 600 million sales mark by the end of the year.

And with a rumored bigger 4.7-inch display, sapphire screen, and a lighter and thinner design, the iPhone 6 may again crush expectations.
