Upcoming Nokia Phones 2014: Finnish Manufacturer Unveils New Feature Non-Touch Phone, Nokia 225 Specs Include 2.8" QVGA Display, 36 Days On Standby, Costs Only €40

Upcoming Nokia phones 2014: In the early 2000's, Nokia became a powerhouse in mobile phone sales, with almost each model getting the praise of the industry. Those were feature phones back then. But in 2014, would these 'not-so-smart-phones' fit in?

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Finnish manufacturer has just unveiled a new feature phone, the Nokia 225.

As a feature phone, do not expect this handset to blow your mind nor trump other mobile phones around. However, as a Nokia-built phone, you can expect quality features and hardware from this device.

So what does the Nokia 225 offer?

In the report, the Nokia 225 will pack what would be the biggest non-touch display the company has ever put on a feature phone. At 2.8 inches, its QVGA display is decent-looking and produces enough colors.

There is also a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB of storage, an MP3 player, an FM Radio and RDS. At the back is a 2MP camera that can record QVGA clips at 15fps.

For people who cannot get enough of Facebook and Twitter, the Nokia 225 also has built-in apps, together with the stock Nokia Xpress Browser for lower mobile data usage.

The phone runs on a battery that is reportedly capable of 36 days of standby, 21 hours of talk time, and almost 50 hours on music playback. If only smartphones have such power-efficient batteries.

While the phone lacks in features, it provides better options when it comes to variety. The Nokia 225 has a single SIM and dual-SIM version, which is a sought-after feature nowadays. The phone will also come in a variety of colors including red, yellow, green, black, and white.

In the report, the Nokia 225 will be priced around €40 and is expected to hit stores in the next couple of months.

So, do you think the upcoming Nokia phone will still sell in the midst of the smartphone revolution?
