Samsung Galaxy S3 users can now install Android 4.4.2 KitKat update on their smartphone.

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 which was released in the market back in 2012 originally comes with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and currently upgradable using the official Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, according to the specs list on GSM Arena. However, the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 who are interested to install Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS update, which is Google's latest mobile operating system, can already do so using a custom firmware.

As posted on WCCF Tech, a custom ROM called LiquidSmooth is now available for AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3. Particularly, it is compatible with Samsung Galaxy S3 with model number SGH-I747. Some of the features included in the LiquidSmooth ROM, which is based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat update are:

But before proceeding to install the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update on AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3, there are requirements to meet first to ensure a successful installation process.

First, the battery level of the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 should be 80 percent or more.

Create a backup of the data and settings stored on the device using custom recovery tools like ClockWorkMod or TWRP.
