Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Vivo Xplay 3S Successor Tipped To Borrow A Page From Apple's Book? Packs Dual-LED 'True Tone' Flash, Snapdragon 801, 3GB RAM, 32GB Internal Storage

Upcoming Android phones 2014: Four months into the year and we already see some tight competition both in the midrange and high-end groups of smartphones. What's interesting here is that emerging manufacturers are already picking up the pace, as well as improve the overall specifications and features of their handsets.

One of these OEMs is China-based phone maker, Vivo.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, rumor has it that the company's upcoming flagship device, and Xplay 3S successor will boast a feature only a handful of people around the world enjoy - a dual-LED 'True Tone' flash.

Sounds familiar? Yeah, that is because Apple has been using the technology for years, and has made it one of the iPhone's best features.

So what does it do? The dual-LED flash combines two colors - yellow and white - in order to provide more realistic lighting to shots, especially those shot in darker conditions.

In the report, Vivo itself released some info through its Weibo account about the camera. Other features of the unannounced device include 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, and 32GB of intenal storage.

Since the dawn of mobile phones, the camera has become an important factor for consumers, analysts and bloggers in deciding which smartphone is the best. Other specs which has the same level of importance include screen size and type of chipset.

The iPhone was the first phone to introduce the dual-LED flash with two different colors, and by far it is also the best in that particular feature. On the other hand, HTC's One M8 is also a runner up in this category, though we will be able to spend more time with it in the coming weeks.

As for Vivo, the road to the top is difficult and, but with its recent releases, the company is certainly becoming a top manufacturer in the world's biggest smartphone market.
