Nirvana Turns Girlvana! Joined By Lorde, St. Vincent, Kim Gordon And Joan Jett On Stage To Complete Band Reunion For 2014 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction [VIDEO]

Nirvana Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction: It finally happened! Nirvana is in the Hall of Fame and the reunion of the band finally happened.

Thanks to the help of amazing voices of some girl singers such as Lorde, St. Vincent, Kim Gordon and Joan Jett, the crowd in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn went wild for the 90’s grunge band.

As the induction began the band thanked their families and fans and Kurt Cobain for them to reach the status they have just achieved.

"It was about doing it for real. And the reward was doing it right and doing it for real," Dave Grohl says. "I got really lucky."

Bassist Krist Novoselic followed Dave Grohl and was happy and almost tearing up for the recognition owing his success to the band and of course, Kurt Cobain.

"I wish Kurt was here tonight," he says. "Kurt was an intense artist and he really connected with a lot of people.”

Courtney Love stepped in and did a speech for the late vocalist saying, "I have a big speech but I’m not going to say it," Courtney Love begins. "I just wish Kurt could have been here," she says, pausing to leave the podium to hug David Grohl and Krist.

"Tonight he would have really appreciated it. I just want to give this to our daughter Francis Bean, who couldn't be here because she was ill."

After their speech, the band played. Joan Jett sang Smells Like Teen Spirit with Nirvana to start their performance.

It was followed by Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon performing Aneurysm. Annie Clark, also known as St. Vincent followed Gordon and played Lithium. The band ended the night with Lorde playing All Apologies.
