Kiss Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction: No Reunion Performance For Founding Members Of KISS; Makes First Public Appearance Together Since 2000 [Video]

Kiss Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame: KISS has officially been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame following the 2014 induction ceremony in Brooklyn New York on April 10.

There was no reunion show for the original lineup of the band but they went on stage together to receive the award peacefully and giving respect to each other.

The founding members of the band was last seen during the 2000 “Farewell Tour”.
Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley weren’t in good terms the past few months as they were seen taking a shot against each other in the press but was seen peaceful during the awards ceremony.

The band didn’t talk about the band in the stage but rather thanked the fans for being a big part of their growth, owing their success to them.

Guitarist Ace Frehley couldn’t believe how far they went and how he reached success starting from picking up his guitar up until now that he is inducted to the hall of fame.

"When I was 13 years old and picked up my first guitar, I always figured I'd be into something big. Life's been good to me. Hopefully, I got another 10 or 20 years to go," Frehley said in his speech.

Even Stanley, who recently accused his former bandmates of anti-Semitism in the media, didn’t talk about their relationship but focused on their fans instead. "Here we are tonight, inducted basically for the things we were left out for," said Stanley. "The people buy albums. The people who nominate do not."

Current members of Kiss namely, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer were seen inside the venue positioned near former members Bruce Kulick.

With the rift happening among the band, Paul Stanley insisted that even the new members should be inducted as well as seen in different bands who were previously inducted.

"I don't need the Hall of Fame," he recently told Rolling Stone. "And if there's not reciprocity, I'm not interested. The Red Hot Chili Peppers, practically every member was inducted, and virtually all 175 members of the Grateful Dead. Rules need to apply to everybody."

The rumors of them playing together, however, didn’t had any chance to happen as conflict among new and former band members would arise if it would happen.

"We heard, 'We would like Ace and Peter in makeup,'" said Stanley. "And we said, 'That's not going to happen.' That band is long gone. I question what Ace and Peter would look like in those outfits. We've spent 40 years building something, and to dissipate what we've done, or confuse it by sending mixed messages? What we offered was to play with Tommy and Eric and then bring out Ace and Peter to play with us."
