Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date Is Today And Now Available In 125 Countries, Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatches Making Their Debut As Well

Samsung Galaxy S5 release date: After more than a month of waiting, Samsung and Android fans can now get their hands on the newest flagship device from the Korean manufacturer as it launches to 125 countries today.

According to a report from GSM Arena, the high-end Android can now be ordered from any Samsung website or store in those 125 countries, which makes the Galaxy S5 the largest launch of a Samsung phone ever. The company's previous flagship, the Galaxy S4 only made its way to 60 countries last year.

Also making their official arrival in Samsung stores worldwide are the new Galaxy Gear smartwatches, starting with the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, and Gear 2 Fit. There would be discounts to your purchases if you get a Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch bundle.

Since the Galaxy S5 was announced, analysts, experts and consumers have been asking the same question over again. Is it worth the upgrade?

If you look at the dotted design (HTC calls it bandaid design), you may be a bit disappointed that Samsung did not go for metal, or at least a better plastic design. However, if you check the phone's specs, you will surely be more than satisfied with all the functions and features it provides.

The Galaxy S5 packs a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 2GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, and a bigger 16MP primary camera at the back, complete with OIS (optical image stabilization).

There is also a 2MP front cam, a 2,800mAh battery, and an option for 16GB or 32GB build-in memory that can be expanded through microSD storage.

In terms of features, the Galaxy S5 is a mammoth with its dust and water resistance, fingerprint sensor, heart rate scanner, and even a 'baby mode'.

So, is the Samsung Galaxy S5 your next smartphone?
