Huawei Ascend P7 Is An Android-Powered Handset That Looks Like An iPhone, Poses A Threat To Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One (M8), And Other Flagships

Huawei Ascend P7: Recently, Huawei has been one of the fastest-growing phone manufacturers due to its success in the Chinese market where it is based. The key to the company's success is its promise to deliver quality smartphones at lower prices than similarly-spec'd devices currently available in the market.

And that would still be the case for their upcoming flagship, the Ascend P7.

Huawei's Ascend P7 has been leaked several times, including its specs, purported design and homescreen appearance. But this time, this could mean that its all but official in China.

According to a report from GSM Arena, the Huawei Ascend P7 recently leaked in Chinese website TENAA, which is the country's version of the FCC in the US.

At first glance, anyone can be mistaken that this smartphone is an iPhone, and it sure looks like one except for the Huawei branding at the bottom of the display. Whatever it is, it works wonders for the company both in terms of design and marketability.

However, inside the Ascend P7 is an Android OS skinned by Huawei's own Emotion UI.

If you are now considering this high-end device as your next smartphone, here are some specs to help you make up your mind. The Huawei Ascend P7 is rumored to boast a 5-inch display with Full HD resolution, a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.6GHz, a HiSilicon chipset which is made by Huawei itself, and 2GB of RAM.

Also on board is a 16GB built-in storage, a 13MP primary shooter at the back, and a 8MP front-facing camera for high quality selfies and video calls.

According to recent reports, the Huawei Ascend P7 will be officially launched in May 7 in Paris, which would be followed by a release later in the month. Unfortunately, possible pricing details are not yet available.
