Canadiens vs Rangers live stream: Watch online free Saturday 7:10 ET as a win for Montreal puts them in second place with the Lightning finalizing their season tomorrow.

The New York Rangers (45-31-5) will finish their regular-season on the road in Montreal vs the Canadiens (45-28-8). NY clinched second place in the Metropolitan Division and will have home-ice advantage for the first round. The Habs are looking to get into the same spot in the Atlantic Division. Watch the free live stream online as a win could help that from happening.

If the Canadiens win, they'll be watching Sunday because their regular-season will be over. Tampa Bay Lightning hold a one-point lead and will end their regular-season in Washington vs the Capitals tomorrow afternoon.

"We won't know who will have home-ice advantage until Sunday night, but I can already predict what the answers will be," Coach Therrien said after practice Friday. "The team that has it will say they're really happy, and the team that doesn't will say it's not important. That's what will happen Sunday, or Monday when you see me, so I beat you by 72 hours."

For the Rangers, their first playoff game won't be until Thursday. That is guaranteed because the New York Knicks will have a home game that same night. Now it is a question of who will get some rest in this game as NY would like to keep the momentum it has of going 7-2-1 in its last 10 games.

"We want to be in the playoffs," center Brad Richards told The (Bergen) Record after the game Thursday. "I think everybody, deep down, wishes we could start tomorrow. You've got to be professional and play these games, but you also start the season for one reason, and that's to try and compete for the [Stanley] Cup."

Injury report, according to NHL.com:

"Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh (shoulder) has missed the past four games. He is expected to participate in the morning skate in Montreal before a decision is made on whether he will play. Forward Chris Kreider (hand) is out, though he is skating. ... Canadiens center Lars Eller (illness) will miss his third game. Forwards Brandon Prust (upper body) and Travis Moen (concussion) are out."
