Keira Knightley New Movie 2014: Pirates of the Caribbean Star May Take Lead in `The Typist’; Keira Knightly Has No Time for Old Friends

Keira Knightley New Movie 2014: Keira Knightley is thinking of joining the big screen adaption of Michael Knight's book "The Typist."

Contractmusic reported that Fox pictures is trying nab Keira Knightly to star.

Keira recently told the media "There's a book called 'The Typist' which the lovely people at Fox are kindly trying to develop for me. My agents found it and gave it to me to read. It has two really good female roles in it, so we shall see."

Knightly quickly rose to fame after her breakthrough role in the soccer film "Bend It Like Beckham." Keira has also starred in three "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies with Johnny Depp, "Atonement" and "Anna Karenina" with Jude Law.

Keira Knightly steers her own path, she told Red magazine: "I can't do anything about people's opinions of me. If I've learned anything it's to be able to go 'I can only give it my best and I can't control what people think."

But the actress has been so busy, she doesn't have a personal life while working on films. Knightly says "extreme" lifestyle keeps her away from her friends. In an interview with Red magazine, she said "When I'm not working it's really about seeing as many friends as possible and making sure I'm there in their lives. The way I work is extreme. You can't really have a personal life if you're working on films all the time. There's Skype, but, really, there's just no way of doing it."

She continued "It becomes very important to block out some time when I don't work and that's how I retain friendships, otherwise people just float. You kind of become somebody who is rudderless."

Keira married Klaxons vocalist and keyboardist James Righton last year.
