Carmelo Anthony To Chicago Bulls? Here Are Five Signs That Might Say That ‘Melo Wants To Play In The Windy City Next Season

Carmelo Anthony Chicago Bulls: With the New York Knicks officially out of the playoffs, after the Atlanta Hawks took over the Miami Heat in their last game, The Knicks are now packing up early and will look to come back next season.

Carmelo Anthony, on the other hand, has been facing rumors on moving to another team at the end of the season, as he will be a free agent when the season ends.

Chicago Bulls has been the main suspect of rumors to pick up the former Syracuse standout and is believed to complete the Bulls lineup.

Analysts have been seeing this possible future acquisition of the Bulls team be very beneficial for them as the current Knicks star would definitely fit alongside Joakim Noah, a (future) healthy Derrick Rose and the mindset of Tom Thibodeau.

Taken from The Wall Street Journal:

"If Anthony takes a true "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" mentality this summer, he'd take a close look at the Bulls, who have beaten him 10 out of 13 times since he joined the Knicks in 2011-the best record any Eastern Conference team has posted against the Knicks in that time."

Throughout the season there have been signs that the Chicago Bulls may be a prospect of the New York forward and that he could end up in the Windy City come the 2014-15 season.

1.     "Melo To Chicago" Fan Sign

During a Knicks-Bulls match in Chicago earlier this year, a fan brought a "Melo To Chicago" sign during the game that caught the attention of the New York star.

"It was a good sign," Melo said with a laugh during an interview after he was asked about the fan sign. "It was a good sign. I don't know what you want me to say about that."

2.     Joakim Noah Recruiting Melo During Regular Season

At the same match, which was also the heat of the moment of the Carmelo Anthony moving rumor, Joakim Noah reportedly went up to talk to Anthony before the match and in a way "recruited" Carmelo to join their team.

"You can go to Los Angeles, but if you really want a ring, if you really want your legacy to be about winning, you should come to Chicago."

3.     Melo Interested With Thibs As A Coach

Carmelo Anthony has a huge respect for Tom Thibodeau as a coach and the Chicago Bulls coach, at the same time, has a huge respect for the Knicks player. The interest of the two with each other may be a big step for this rumor of moving could come true.

"(The Bulls) have a great coach and system," Anthony said. "It's like Gregg Popovich's system. You can put anyone in the system and it's going to work. Guys have been in and out of the lineup and they still get it done."

4.     Chicago May Be The Best Place For Melo To Stay

With the coach and player having the utmost respect with each other, things might work for both parties in terms of chemistry.

"It's interesting because with USA Basketball, they talk about him being a playmaker," Thibodeau said. "He scores and if a guy is open, he passes the ball. I think oftentimes it's who he plays with.

"A lot of the things that you hear about him I heard about Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen and Paul Pierce before they came together and won it. That changes perception. Carmelo has been one of the elite scorers in the league for a long, long time."

5.     Rumor Of Melo Asking About The Windy City Team

In other recent rumors, it has been reported that during the last Bulls-Knicks game of the season, Melo asked a former Bull on "how is it like to play under Thibs", showing his interest on the team.

The rumors about Carmelo Anthony signing to the Chicago Bulls have been circling the news throughout the season and the real answer to the question, "Where will he play next season?" will only be answered by Melo himself and we will have to find out once he decided. Hopefully soon.
