The Good Wife Season 5 Spoilers: State's Attorney Recast With Michael Cerveris, Michael J. Fox Joins Episode 18, Plus Finn And Alicia Romance!

As "The Good Wife" season 5 heads towards the finale, spoilers regarding the cast have surfaced.

In "The Good Wife" season 5 episode 17, fans may have noticed that contrary to earlier reports of John Leguizamo, Michael Cerveris ("Fringe") played the State's Attorney instead.

Spoilers confirm that while Leguizamo is not joining the cast, he might appear in a later role.

”We were so honored to get John Leguizamo for 'The Good Wife,' but felt we were not utilizing him in the best way possible as James Castro," said co-creators Robert and Michelle King.

"We are hoping to work with him again in different role, as he is such a splendid and collaborative actor.”

Perhaps Leguizamo will appear in "The Good Wife" season 6?

Meanwhile, the promo for "The Good Wife" season 5 episode 18, which shows the return of Michael J. Fox replacing Will Gardner at Lockhard/Gardner.

Episode 17 also showed that there could be potential chemistry between Finn (Matthew Goode) and Alicia, but spoilers confirm that "The Good Wife" will not decide on Alicia's new love interest until further evidence.

“We’re not going there [yet],” continued Robert. ”A lot of what we do is watch the dailies and see what comes out. There is a lot of fun chemistry between Julianna [Margulies] and Matthew [Goode], but we can’t [address the potential for romance] until we react a little bit more to what’s being shot.”
