Hayden Panettiere Locked Out Of Heroes Reborn Cast? 2015 Mini-Series To Have Online Prequel With New Characters!

As "Heroes: Reborn" goes into the planning stages, one name who is being left out of the cast list is Hayden Panettiere.

According to E! Online, Panettiere didn't find out about the upcoming mini-series until a family member notified her.

"Well, it was a shock to me," Panettiere said. "In fact, I believe I became privy to that through my cousin. She sent me a text message about it."

Reportedly, "Heroes: Reborn" will be a 13-episode mini-series featuring new character and presumably, new cast members. At least, that's Panettiere's hope.

"I hope that they don't have somebody else playing our characters, that would be a little dagger in the heart. But, you never know. I wish them success in it, for sure," added Panettiere.

"Who knows? It's a little bit of an interesting feeling because you go, 'That was our show, our home, our family,' something that we had a major part in creating."

Still, it would be a waste not to have iconic cast of characters like Sylar, Claire, and Hiro back, don't you think?

Meanwhile, IGN reports that in addition to the 13 episodes of "Heroes: Reborn," a prequel series will also debut alongside it.

The online prequel series is titled Heroes Reborn: Digital Series, and will be "promoted across the company’s television networks and will air first on digital platforms including channel websites, Hulu, and video-on-demand."

“It’s exciting to bring original content to the forefront on all of our digital platforms," said Robert Hayes to EW.

“We are lucky to once again be in business with some of the top producers in Hollywood making new content to further engage fans.”
