Install Official Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update On Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE; XXUEND3 Firmware Now Available For SM-N9005 Units

Users of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE can now install the latest and official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

As posted on the GSM Arena specs list for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the phablet comes pre-installed with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean but it is now upgradable to Google's latest mobile operating system, the Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware.

According to a post on International Business Times, a new stock firmware based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is now available for the LTE version of Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Particularly, the firmware is available for the SM-N9005 model for Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Reportedly, the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is expected to bring in minor software updates and bug fixes.

The firmware with build number N9005XXUEND3 has a build date of April 14 and currently available in the Netherlands. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE owners in the Netherlands can install the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update via Over-the-Air notification. Furthermore, the firmware can also be accessed using the Samsung KIES desktop server.

Verify if the model number of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE is SM-N9005 as the latest and official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update only works for this specific model.

The battery level of the phablet should be at least 80 percent to avoid power interruption issues during the installation process.

Create a backup of the relevant data stored on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE using ClockWorkMod or other custom recovery tools.
