Dan Haren (2-0, 2.04), who pitched for the Diamondbacks from 2008-10, allowed two runs over 12 innings in his first two starts. However, he wasn't as sharp Sunday when he gave up three runs and nine hits over 5 2/3 frames in an 8-6 win at Arizona, according to ESPN.com.

"I was able to get through it," Haren said. "I don't know how. I face them again and I have to have better stuff than this."

Bolsinger, a 15th-round draft pick in 2010, went 2-0 with a 1.42 ERA at Triple-A Reno before making his first big-league appearance Monday. He was able to get some of the jitters out of the way, allowing two runs and six hits over three innings of relief in a 7-3 home loss to the New York Mets, according to ESPN.com.

"It just seems the game gets faster here," Bolsinger told MLB's official website. "There's more going on. You've got to be aware of it and make sure you slow it down."
